Both options keep your files identical during the sync.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><\/div><\/div><div class=\"many-open, all-closed\"><h3 class=\"display\" title=\"bounce\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.secureserver.net\/help\/article\/4806?ci=1827&amp;prog_id=501414#new\">Creating Backups and Syncs Using Workspace Desktop Tools v2<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"stretcher\"><ol><li>Launch\u00a0<strong>Workspace Desktop Tools<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Under\u00a0<strong>All Accounts<\/strong>, click the Online Storage account that you want to work with.<\/li><li>Above the\u00a0<strong>Folder Backups\/Syncs<\/strong>\u00a0list, click\u00a0<strong>Add New<\/strong>. The\u00a0<strong>Folder Sync<\/strong>\u00a0window opens.<\/li><li>In the\u00a0<strong>Backup name<\/strong>\u00a0field, enter a name to describe the backup folder you want to add.<\/li><li>From the\u00a0<strong>Backup frequency<\/strong>\u00a0menu, select when you would like synchronization to occur.<ul><li><strong>Manual:<\/strong>\u00a0Synchronization occurs only when you manually select\u00a0<strong>Run<\/strong>\u00a0from the actions menu for the folder.<\/li><li><strong>Automatic:<\/strong>\u00a0Synchronization occurs whenever there is a change to your files.<\/li><li><strong>Schedule:<\/strong>\u00a0You set a day and time for synchronization to occur daily or weekly. Click the calendar icon to select a date and time for your synchronization.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>For syncs (not backups), select a folder in your Online Storage account.<\/li><li>In the\u00a0<strong>Folder on this computer<\/strong>\u00a0field, click\u00a0<strong>Select<\/strong>\u00a0to browse to and select the folder on your computer where you want the backed up files to be stored, and then click\u00a0<strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li><li>From the\u00a0<strong>Backup\/Sync type<\/strong>\u00a0menu, select one of the following:<ul><li><strong>Upload only:<\/strong>\u00a0Any files added to the folder on your hard drive are uploaded to the specified Online Storage folder.<\/li><li><strong>Download only:<\/strong>\u00a0Any files added to the specified Online Storage folder are downloaded to the specified folder on your computer.<\/li><li><strong>Full Sync:<\/strong>\u00a0Any files added to the folder on your hard drive are uploaded to the specified Online Storage folder,\u00a0<em>and<\/em>\u00a0any files added to the specified Online Storage folder are downloaded to the specified folder on your computer.<\/li><li><strong>Backup:<\/strong>\u00a0The specified files on your hard drive are copied to the specified Online Storage folder. As changes are made, copies are created and a file history is retained, allowing for file recovery.<\/li><li><em>Optional:<\/em>\u00a0Click\u00a0<strong>Advanced<\/strong>\u00a0to include or exclude specified files, folder, or file types and to specify the backup mode.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em>Optional:<\/em>\u00a0From the\u00a0<strong>More<\/strong>\u00a0menu, you can view the backup history, view the backup log, or restore any deleted files.<\/li><li>Click\u00a0<strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol><\/div><\/div><div class=\"many-open, all-closed\"><h3 class=\"display\" title=\"manage\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.secureserver.net\/help\/article\/4806?ci=1827&amp;prog_id=501414#new\">Managing Backups and Syncs Using Workspace Desktop Tools v 2<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"stretcher\"><p>Once you create backups and syncs, you can manage them directly from Workspace Desktop Tools.<\/p><h4>To Manage Backups and Syncs<\/h4><ol><li>Launch\u00a0<strong>Workspace Desktop<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Under\u00a0<strong>All Accounts<\/strong>, click the Online Storage account you want to work with.<\/li><li>In the\u00a0<strong>Folder Backup\/Syncs<\/strong>\u00a0list, for the backup you want to manage, you can do the following:<ul><li><strong>Run<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Click the arrow icon to immediately perform the backup.<\/li><li><strong>Edit<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Click the pencil icon to edit your backup.<\/li><li><strong>Delete<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Click the delete icon to remove the backup.
